KIPL goes to Washington 

KIPL Board Members, Fr. Jerry Cappel and Tim Darst are headed to our nation's capital for a three-day conference with other IPL representatives which includes a day of lobbying Congress regarding the current proposed climate change legislation.  We will be calling on the offices of the following legislators:  Sens. Mitch McConnell and Jim Bunning, Reps. John Yarmuth,  Ben Chandler and Brett Guthrie.

Please contact your congressmanand ask them to support those policies that help to care for God's creation.

Jeff Street installing solar panels

This coming week the folks at Jeff Street Baptist Community at Liberty in Louisville are having solar panels installed.   Experts from Earthwell Energy Management Inc. are volunteering their time to install a system that is being paid for by ASHRAE as a legacy gift to the community.

Build Your Church 09

Saturday, May 16 at Glassworks in Louisville

The Church Design & Construction Symposium is presenting "Build Your Church 09," a conference for religious organizations that are considering an upcoming renovation or construction project. (Click here for info and brochure)

Half day (starting at 8:30 a.m.) conference will feature seminars on the following topics: Fund Raising in Difficult Economic Times, How Do You Build It: From Concept to Occupancy, Trends in Church Design (Acoustics, Planning, etc.), Artwork & Light: Enhancing the Worship Experience, "Greening" your church by KIPL Director Fr. Joe Mitchell.
